The World is Paved with Good Intentions

Life is full of jealous people...people who say one thing to our face, whilst behind your back they continue to sharpen their knives. One thing I've discovered since the release of 'Rain' is the amount of people who actually bear not malice but ill fortune. Its a time of life, where I've realised just who my real friends are and those who are closest to me. Throughout our lives I firmly believe we will only associate with four distinct groups of people. The first is family...the ones who are closest to us, and for the most part we have no control over our association with. The second is our friends...these are the people we love and care for and genuinely care for us and are with us through the good and bad things, the people who hold us when we fall and celebrate when we are happy. The third group are colleagues...the people we work with, nothing more...nothing less. The people we talk to and laugh with whilst completing our daily workload, but we would not associate with outside work. The fourth group is the associates. These are the people we know...the ones who smile through venomous teeth and watch with jealousy in their hearts. These are the ones who will tell you what they want you to hear, but bitch behind your back. The ones that tell us how great we are, whilst laughing and sneering behind closed doors. These are the people who are the most dangerous to our happiness. These are the people which we don't need in our lives. Look...my message to you is keep yourself to your small group of close friends and stay away from the haters. To those 'haters', either keep your opinions to yourself or stay out of my way. Live life by your actions...not your words.
