A man is a sum of his memories...
What makes us the people we become? We intellectually grow as we learn through our peers, books, television and media channels, but this does not make us the people we are. The personality, the very core and essence of ourselves. Do we learn this from books or the people around us? What shapes us? Indeed we do learn from the written word, but this does not mould our personality simply give us a perspective of the world around us. For the most part we are shaped in essence by the people around us, but not in a conventional way. While it is true of us as a species that we are molded by the people who influence us, whether they are parents/friends or personalities but again these only influence slight traits in our own personalty. What is at our core and indeed the core of everyone is our own experiences. Our loves, heartache, excitement, sadness, loss and success...these make us the people we grow into.
